A consortium of Oak Ridge, Tennessee-based universities has secured a potential $129.7 million contract to continue to help NASA manage a fellowship program that recruits scientists and engineers who have earned a PhD to perform research work for the space agency.
ORAU will solicit, receive, assess applications, enroll fellows and provide the agency support services such as website management, financial reporting and operational performance planning.
Contract work will take place at ORAU headquarters and NASA sites including the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland.
The base performance period is scheduled to commence on Sept. 9 of the current calendar year and services would extend through Sept. 8, 2026, if the agency exercises all options.
