Milford McGuirt, formerly a managing partner of KPMG, has been appointed to the board of directors at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) in a move slated to take effect Thursday.
He will serve on the audit and nominating and corporate governance committees of SAIC, the company said Tuesday.
McGuirt has more than four decades of public accounting and auditing experience, which included 29 years with KPMG. Previously, he was in charge of the professional services firm’s Atlanta office and mid-southern region business area.
âHis demonstrated focus on innovation, strategy and collaboration align well with SAICâs goals to bring advanced technology to our government customers,â said Donna Morea, board chair at SAIC.
The addition of McGuirt will bring the number of board members to 11, with women and people of color accounting for nearly two-thirds of the membership.
