Blake Nelson, who led defense and civilian programs at service management company Pragmatics, has joined Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) as vice president responsible for the management of cloud platforms and services in support of the company’s digital transformation business, G2Xchange FedCiv reported Friday.
As SAIC’s VP of platforms and cloud solutions, Nelson will also support digital product development, sales and delivery and create technology strategy aimed at helping customers modernize their portfolios of information technology services.
Nelson brings more than two decades of experience, serving various technology- and cloud-related roles at government contracting companies. He was the vice president and general manager of federal strategic solutions at Pragmatics and the lead for Department of Defense cloud practice at Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal business arm.
His career also includes time serving at Beacon Associates, iConstituent, Savi Technology, JPMorgan Chase and Perot Systems.
