Akima Subsidiary to Help Implement SOCOM Property Management System; Scott Rauer Quoted

An Akima subsidiary has received a potential $23.9 million to help the U.S. Special Operations Command deploy and maintain a system for managing assets.

Under the five-year contract, Sunik will deploy four Defense Accountability Property System modules for special operations forces, Akima said Wednesday.

“DPAS plays a significant role in the facilitation of rapid and focused acquisition, technology and logistics support to today’s warfighters,” said Scott Rauer, president of Akima’s facilities solutions group.

The program contains property accountability, maintenance and utilization, warehouse and materiel management modules.

Akima noted that as many as 50 personnel will support the SOF enterprise through the contract and perform services at various locations in Florida and Kentucky.

Sunik will work to provide SOCOM professional support services using “stability, agility and reach” principles.
