KBR (NYSE: KBR) has reported $102.4 million in contract and task order awards to help the U.S. Navy operate facilities in the United Arab Emirates and provide power generation services to U.S. Air Force personnel operating at a military air base located in Saudi Arabia.
Work under a potential eight-year, $67.4 million deal with Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Atlantic will include equipment maintenance, transportation, logistics and force protection support at four UAE-based Navy locations, KBR said Thursday.
The company added it plans to apply data analytics and asset management tools to assist the branch in facility operations.
USAF’s Civil Engineer Center awarded a two-year, $35 million task order for KBR to generate energy sources for the 378th Air Expeditionary Wing and its allied troops.
Byron Bright, president of KBR’s government solutions business and 2021 Wash100 Award recipient, said the company seeks to grow its military support footprint in the Middle East and is committed to helping sector customers address readiness and sustainment requirements.
