He brings more than three decades of public and private sector experience in areas such as technology procurement, data architecture development and infrastructure deployment, LookingGlass said Monday.
Zangardi came to Redhorse in June 2020 after a short stint at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) as senior vice president of business initiatives and strategic partnerships.
His government career included roles as chief information officer at the Department of Homeland Security, acting CIO at the Department of Defense and deputy assistant secretary for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, information operations and space at the U.S. Navy.
The U.S. Navy veteran also serves as an adviser to Absolute Software and a board member at Symetrica and Qualys.
"Throughout my time in the government, I saw first-hand the growing sophistication of threat actors, which are now affecting both the government and private corporations," Zangardi said.
He added that LookingGlass' threat intelligence offering works to help organizations analyze adversarial activity in the cyber domain and implement security measures.
