Quincy Allen, a 35-year technology services industry veteran and former chief marketing officer of IBM‘s (NYSE: IBM) cloud business, has been appointed to the board of directors of Lumen Technologies.
Lumen said Thursday that Allen met independent director qualifications under the New York Stock Exchange listing policies and his addition brings the total number of board members to 12.
He previously worked at Unisys (NYSE: UIS) as chief marketing and strategy officer, led advertising firm Vertis Communications as CEO and held various leadership roles at Xerox (NYSE: XRX).

Allen also holds a board seat at ABM Industries, Launch NY and Office Depot, where he serves on the audit committee.
