Lockheed to Expand UK F-35 Flight Services Under $102M Contract Modification

The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a two-year, $101.5M contract modification to perform F-35 Lightning II aircraft sustainment and day-to-day flight support work for the British defense ministry.

This award modifies the scope of a previously awarded contract to include daily flight support services in line with the requirements of the U.K.’s air-system national capability enterprise, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Naval Air Systems Command will obligate the full amount of the modification using non-DOD participant funds.

Ninety percent of work will take place in Samlesbury, England, and the remaining 10 percent in Texas and Florida. DOD expects contract services to conclude in December 2022.
