A J.F. Lehman & Co. investment affiliate has purchased Atlanta-based CodeMettle, a communication network and data management software provider to both the defense and commercial sectors, for an undisclosed sum.
The New York-based private equity firm said Wednesday CodeMettlee designed its technology to provide customers a common operating picture of strategic and tactical networks.
Alex Harman, a J.F. Lehman partner, said the deal complements the firm's investment strategy and he expects the proprietary software offering to help government clients address software-based command-and-control system requirements.
CodeMettle holds information assurance certification from the U.S. Army and Defense Information Systems Agency to operate a company-made NetOps platform on Department of Defense networks.
Blank Rome acted as J.F. Lehman’s legal counsel for the transaction, while Sheppard Mullin, Richter & Hampton served as legal counsel to the selling shareholders.
Mensura Capital and Mensura Securities served as financial advisers to CodeMettle.
