A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) subsidiary will maintain, modernize and repair the USS Comstock dock landing ship under a potential two-year, $128.2M contract from the U.S. Navy.
General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Co. will perform selected restricted availability efforts in support of the Whidbey Island-class vessel in fiscal year 2021 under the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The contract has a base value of $100M and comes with options that, if exercised, will bring the award to its potential value.
