Army Futures Command BAA Details Network Modernization Research Interests

The Army Futures Command’s Network-Cross Functional Team and Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications-Tactical have released a broad agency announcement to solicit white papers on current technology that could assist the military service with updating its communications infrastructure.

A notice posted Friday says the solicitation period will remain open over a five-year period until Oct. 29, 2025, and the branch plans to deploy new tools every two years as part of its network modernization push.

The topic areas listed in the announcement are unified network, common operating environment, joint interoperability/coalition accessible and command post mobility/survivability.

Under the sourcing effort’s first phase, the government will evaluate white papers and select offerors who can participate in a technological demonstration activity or move forward into the second phase to submit proposals.

The notice states that Network-CFT is experimenting with available joint and special operations equipment, non-developmental tools and commercial off-the-shelf technology.
