SGT, a business unit of KBR‘s (NYSE: KBR) government services segment, has secured a potential eight-year, $570.3M contract.will help NASA manage facilities and systems at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama.
The company will support Marshall personnel in efforts to develop and implement spaceflight operations under the center’s human exploration development and operations office, NASA said Friday.
SGT will also provide equipment, supplies and personnel to agency programs, project offices, commercial and international partners, payload developers and educational institutions.
Tasks include support for payload development, propulsion systems, satellite and spacecraft operations, tests, launch preparation and flight missions led by the Huntsville Operations Support Center.
The cost-plus-award-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period that will commence on Oct. 1, followed by five option years and an additional two-year option.
