AEI Operating Partner Peter Cannito Named Redwire Chairman, CEO

Peter Cannito, an operating partner of investment company AE Industrial Partners, has been appointed chairman and CEO of space technology developer Redwire.

The 25-year aerospace, defense and government services veteran will lead the company that AEI formed after its acquisition of Deep Space Systems earlier this month and DSS' integration with Adcole Maryland Aerospace, Redwire said Thursday.

AT AEI, Cannito is responsible for helping develop the private equity firm's acquisitions strategies and assisting its portfolio companies in strategic efforts.

He previously led Polaris Alpha as CEO and held executve roles at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and EOIR Technologies.

Steve Bailey and Don Wesson, respectively presidents of the DSS and Adcole Space businesses, will report directly to Cannito.
