Keith Alexander, founder and co-CEO of IronNet Cybersecurity, has become the inaugural member on the advisory board of Ashburn, Va.-based security company Telos.
The retired four-star U.S. Army general will be a strategic partner and advise the Telos leadership on cybersecurity matters, the company said Wednesday.
Alexander established IronNet in 2014 with the goal of helping public and private sector organizations detect and exchange security risks through the use of a cyber defense platform.
He previously led the National Security Agency, U.S. Cyber Command and the Central Security Service during his government career.
His overall military career spans four decades, with contributions to national foreign intelligence, U.S. information security and the protection of networks used by the Department of Defense.
