General Dynamics NASSCO Lands Potential $119M USS Harpers Ferry Maintenance Contract

A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) subsidiary will help the U.S. Navy maintain, update and repair systems of the  a landing ship dock under a potential $118.9M contract.

San Diego-based NASSCO will provide workers and facilities needed to carry out fiscal 2020 docking phased maintenance availability efforts for USS Harpers Ferry, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Naval Sea Systems Command received three bids for the chief of naval operations-scheduled project via a West coast-wide competition.

The service branch obligated $98.1M at the time of award. DoD expects contract work to conclude in December.
