General Dynamics Subsidiary Wins $80M Contract for Navy Destroyer Ship Dry Dock Services

General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) NASSCO subsidiary has landed a potential $79.6 million contract to help the U.S. Navy carry out a dry-docking selected restricted availability on an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer ship.

The firm-fixed-price award for USS Bainbridge services in fiscal year 2023 has a base value of $76.7 million and will reach its full value if all options are exercised, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center in Norfolk, Virginia, acted as the contracting activity and received two offers for the project via an online competitive process.

The Navy expects contract work to conclude in August 2023.
