Eric Peterson, a veteran business development leader, has joined Irving Burton Associates as vice president of federal information technology services.

He will support growth initiatives in marketing, capture and proposals within IBA’s federal IT services accounts and work with the company’s senior leadership team and program heads to advance innovation and technical maturity, IBA said Wednesday.

Prior to IBA, Peterson spent 15 years at BRTRC Federal Solutions, where he directed business development lifecycles with a focus on delivering professional services to civilian and military agencies.

Garth Hedger, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a more than two-decade sales and marketing leader, has been named business development account manager at IBA. He will oversee sales transactions and collaborate with Peterson to generate inside sales and leads.

Ellen Pfeiffer, a business development strategist, will serve as business development and client relations executive in Frederick, Md. She will help identify and pursue new opportunities and represent IBA in meetings of local business organizations, events and industry days in her new role.

Pfeiffer led proposals and opportunity pursuits for the Departments of State, Veterans Affairs, Homeland Security, the Army, Navy, Federal Aviation Administration and several local and state government agencies.

IBA is a Falls Church, Va.-based woman-owned business established in 1979 and focused on providing homeland security and federal health IT services to government agencies. Its teams specialize in enterprise IT, Agile development, program management, financial services and mobile application development.
