TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 27, 2019 — Ken Folderauer, vice president of federal government sales at Comcast Business, has said the company plans to leverage its “gig speed” network resources and professional workforce as well as pursue investments to expand its capabilities and market footprint in a move to differentiate itself in the federal space.

Folderauer, who was named to lead Comcast’s new federal government services business in April, told ExecutiveBiz in an interview published Sept. 13 that his team looks to hone in on the sector’s technology needs, with the company’s position on the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70 procurement vehicle for Ethernet products as a focal point for expansion.

“Comcast Business is deepening its relationship with the federal government as it’s a natural extension of our product portfolio and core network capabilities – small businesses, mid-sized and large nationwide enterprises,” he noted.

The communications industry veteran added that customer awareness of the company’s federal offerings, partnerships with prime vendors and subcontractors and direct support for government clients are some of the other areas that Comcast Business will work on as it builds out its federal services unit.
