Collins Aerospace Awarded $310M to Produce Cross-Platform Radios for US, Int’l Clients

United Technologies Corp.‘s (NYSE: UTX) Collins Aerospace business has received a three-year, $310.5M contract modification to supply more than 400 radio systems to U.S. and foreign military customers.

Collins Aerospace will produce the AN/ARC-210(v) radios for integration with more than 400 fixed and mobile platforms used in air, land and sea domains, the Department of Defense said Tuesday. DoD expects deliveries to be complete by September 2022.

The U.S. Navy originally awarded an $82.6M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to Rockwell Collins in July 2018 to manufacture the AN/ARC-210 family of radio equipment. AN/ARC-210 is designed to function as a two-way system for transmitting voice and data communications.

UTC formed Collins Aerospace after completing its acquisition of Rockwell Collins in late November.
