Jeff Brody

Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has landed a two-year, $191M contract modification to continue producing a command and control communications system for the U.S. Air Force’s nuclear-armed bomber fleet.

The modification exercises an option under the Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal production contract and brings the contract’s cumulative value to $690M, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The company designed the Global ASNT system under a $134M contract awarded in late 2013. Work under the exercised option will run through Sept. 19, 2021, and take place in Largo, Fla. Air Force Materiel Command obligated $154.6M in fiscal 2019 procurement funds at the time of award.
