An Akima subsidiary has received a potential five-year, $13.6M contract to help manage a Department of Agriculture research facility in Wyndmoor, Pa.
Sunik will provide logistics, maintenance, operations and facility support services at the USDA’s Eastern Regional Research Center, Akima said Tuesday.
ERRC holds the National Historic Chemical Landmark designation and employs scientists who conduct developmental, applied and fundamental research of agricultural commodities.
It is an honor to support a USDA facility with both historical significance and a critical mission to protect the welfare of American agriculture and all consumers, said Scott Rauer, president of Akima’s facilities solutions group.
The company added it provides support services to the department’s Western Regional Research Center.
