ManTech Offers Portable Cloud Platform for Field Data Analytics; Srini Iyer, Kevin Phillips Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 16, 2019 — ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) unveiled a new portable “cloud in a box” technology earlier this month that is designed to enable warfighters to access, exchange and analyze intelligence in real time in support of tactical operations, ExecutiveBiz reported May 6.

Srini Iyer, chief technology officer of ManTech’s mission solutions and services group, said in a C4ISRNet report published May 6 that the Secure Tactical Edge Platform works to address the current limitation in capability of deployed warfighters to process sensitive data at the network edge in a timely manner.

Iyer told the publication the U.S. military has indicated interest in the STEP technology, which has a small form factor that can fit into a carry-on case for use in the field to facilitate faster tactical decision-making.

“This is the future of warfighting, fueling the success of missions at speed with an open architecture that will drive continuous technological improvement,” Kevin Phillips, president and CEO of ManTech and a 2019 Wash100 awardee, said in a company press release posted May 7.
