Sid Fuchs

Sid Fuchs, former president and CEO of MacAulay-Brown, has been named chief operating officer of Alion Science and Technology.

His appointment came seven months after Alion acquired MacB. The McLean, Va.-based engineering contractor said Monday he will oversee the firm’s businesses and programs in his new position.

Alion CEO and Chairman Steve Schorer said Fuchs has played a role in the restructuring, integration and infrastructure planning efforts following the acquisition.

Schorer added the company seeks to grow offerings in the electronic warfare, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance areas.

Fuchs, a three-decade engineering and technology services veteran, previously served as a CIA officer and as CEO at TASC, OAO Technology Solutions and ATS Corp.
