Marine Hydraulics International Wins Potential $149M Navy Dock Landing Ship Modernization Contract

Marine Hydraulics International will help the U.S. Navy modernize, repair and maintain a Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship under a potential $149.2M contract.

The company will help the Chief of Naval Operations implement fiscal 2019 drydocking selected restricted availability efforts on the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Naval Sea Systems Command received three offers for the firm-fixed-price contract via a full and open competition on FedBizOpps and will obligate $103.4M at the time of award.

MHI will perform work in Norfolk, Va., and is scheduled to conclude by April 2020.
