AWS-Sponsored Event Produces Projects for State Dept. Diplomacy Center Exhibit

TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 29, 2018 — Amazon Web Services served as sponsor of a State Department-backed “hackathon” in Washington that sought to highlight the use of data visualization to illustrate the impact of diplomatic activities, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

AWS said Thursday the department’s U.S. Diplomacy Center and the World Resources Institute hosted ImpactHack, where the My State, My State Department interactive map and game emerged as winner out of 16 teams that worked to demonstrate their coding and design skills in order to produce projects that would be used for the center’s exhibit on American diplomacy.
