SPA Taps Space & Defense Vet Pamela Melroy as Board Member; William Vantine Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 31, 2018 — Systems Planning and Analysis unveiled earlier this month that Pamela Melroy, a former Space Shuttle commander at NASA and retired U.S. Air Force colonel, has joined the company’s board of directors, ExecutiveBiz reported Aug. 21.

“Colonel Melroy brings unique and extensive experience in space, hypersonics and the Australian defense and space industries,” William Vantine, president and CEO of SPA, said in a company statement.

Melroy has also previously worked at the Federal Aviation Administration, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).
