Army Selects Lockheed for $356M Tactical Trainer Module Upgrade Contract

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has won a potential 10-year, $356.3M contract to modernize a manned-module simulator of the U.S. Army‘s Close Combat Tactical Trainer.

The Army Contracting Command received three bids for the project via an online-based solicitation process and will provide funds and work locations over the ordering period that runs through Aug. 20, 2028, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

CCTT is designed to support virtual, collective training of soldiers for combined arms maneuver and wide-area security tactical operations.

The training platform uses computer-driven simulators built to virtually reproduce the vehicles employed in close combat missions.
