Raytheon Radar, UAS to Support Army Ground Troops Against Enemy Drones


TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 19, 2018 — A Raytheon-built (NYSE: RTN) radar and unmanned aircraft system designed to detect and counter adversary drones will be utilized by the U.S. Army in its battlefield operations, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday its Coyote tube-launched UAS, which will be deployed before the end of 2018, and KRFS Ku-band radio-frequency system radar will work together to help the Army identify and eliminate drone threats in support of ground troops.
