REI to Help Update HHS Grants Mgmt System Under Potential $112M BPA

REI Systems has been awarded a potential five-year, $112 million blanket purchase agreement to modernize an online-based grant management system for a Department of Health and Human Services agency that helps fund healthcare initiatives.

The company said Monday it will support systems development services necessary to update the Health Resources and Services Administration’s electronic handbooks on at least 90 grant programs.

Subhash Kari, chief technology officer at REI Systems, said the company seeks to help the agency re-engineer grants processes with the use of modern technology such as cloud, mobility, blockchain and artificial intelligence platforms.

The Sterling, Va.-based technology services contractor has supported HRSA over the past 15 years.
