Microsoft Integrates Cloud Platforms, Works With Partners on Azure Stack

TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 13, 2018 — Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) is set to integrate the Azure Stack hybrid cloud with Azure Government cloud in mid-2018 in efforts to support government users’ data processing and analysis as well as application development and modernization operations, ExecutiveBiz reported.

Natalia Mackevicius, director for Azure Stack, wrote that the integration works to enable connections to Azure Government identity, subscription, registration, billing, backup/disaster recovery and Azure Marketplace, and that Microsoft has been working with partners such as Dell EMC and Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO).

“With hybrid cloud being a key component to IT transformation, the Dell EMC Cloud for Microsoft Azure Stack offers a turnkey hybrid cloud solution that reduces risk and time to mission value, backed by Dell EMC services and support,” said Steve Harris, senior vice president for federal sales at Dell EMC and a 2018 Wash100 inductee.

“As part of our overall, multi-cloud strategy we are excited about our partnership with Microsoft to offer Azure Stack as a converged infrastructure solution for government,” added Cisco U.S. Public Sector VP Nick Michaelides, a 2018 Wash100 inductee.
