Vince Stammetti, formerly a vice president ofÂ Alion Science and Technology, has been named senior VP of the company’s systems solutions business unit.
The 37-year industry and military veteran has served as capture and technical lead for combat and C4ISR systems on Alion’s surface combat ship offering to Canada over the past year, the companyÂ said.
Stammetti previously was VP and general manager of the power and control technologiesÂ division of the company now known asÂ Leonardo DRS.
He also held the roles of general manager atÂ BAE Systemsâ Southeast shipyards in Jacksonville and Mayport, Florida; naval program director at Sayers & Associates; and production director for Littoral Combat Ships at Lockheed MartinÂ (NYSE: LMT).
Stammetti spent 20 years with the U.S. Navy that included stints as commander, surface warfare officer, production manager at the Office of the Supervisor of Shipbuilding and post delivery manager for the DDG51 Class Destroyer program.
