Raytheon Unveils Scholarship Program for Women in Aviation; Dave Wajsgras Comments

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 8, 2017 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has partnered with the Air Traffic Control Association to offer scholarships to female college students in aviation with the goal to address a gender gap in the field of air traffic control, GovCon Executive reported Oct. 19.

ATCA said Oct. 18 the alliance will provide summer internship opportunities at the company’s intelligence, information and services, transportation and support services organizations under the Raytheon Women in Aviation scholarship program.

“This new scholarship aims to encourage women to pursue exciting and challenging career opportunities in aviation and air traffic control,” said Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017.
