Boeing’s HorizonX Eyes Autonomous Tech for Ground, Aerial Vehicles Via New Investment


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 23, 2017 — Boeing (NYSE: BA) has moved to explore new autonomous technologies for aerial and ground vehicles through its investment in Carnegie Mellon University spinoff Near Earth Autonomy, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The investment by Boeing’s HorizonX ventures arm seeks to advance the development of autonomous platforms for application in emerging markets such as urban mobility, the company said Thursday.
