Cubic Building Larger Facility for GATR Technologies Business in Alabama; Mike Twyman Comments

TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 6, 2017 — Cubic‘s (NYSE: CUB) mission solutions organization is working to expand its GATR Technologies satellite communications business with the construction of a 63,000-square-foot facility in Huntsville, Alabama, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

The company said Thursday the future facility serves to consolidate GATR’s production, operations, engineering, business development and administrative units into one location even as it aims to double its workforce and drive growth in the next two years.

“We anticipate the facility expansion to support the growth of our engineering and manufacturing team as well as the increasing demand from our U.S. and international customers for our products,” said Mike Twyman, president of Cubic Mission Solutions.
