Lockheed, Air Force, Calspan Conduct Teaming Drill for Manned, Unmanned Systems


TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 11, 2017 — Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) Skunk Works business unit has collaborated with Calspan, the U.S. Air Force‘s Test Pilot School and the Air Force Research Laboratory in a teaming exercise for manned and unmanned systems at Edwards Air Force Base, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

The Have Raider II activity sought to demonstrate the capacity of an experimental F-16 aircraft to autonomously coordinate and execute an air-to-ground strike mission in response to a dynamic threat environment, Lockheed said Monday.
