Inmarsat Secures UK Space Agency Grant on Satellite Applications for Community Challeges


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 27, 2017 — Inmarsat will build satellite application programs for disaster relief, healthcare and sustainable fishing under a grant award from the U.K. space agency, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Wednesday the grant seeks to identify potential uses of satellite technology to address local community challenges in partner countries such as Nigeria, Indonesia and the Philippines.
