A United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) subsidiary has secured a $309.8 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide propulsion system services in support of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday that Pratt & Whitney will supply hardware, training course materials and equipment for the F-35 aircraft of the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, non-DoD participants and foreign military customers.
Work will occur in Connecticut, Oklahoma, Florida, California, Utah, Arizona and Italy through November 2017.
The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate $107.1 million at the time of award from fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds of the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps; non-U.S. DoD participants; and FMS funds.
