Cloudera, Docker Collaborate to Develop Integrated Platform for Govt Customers

TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 22, 2016 — Cloudera has partnered with Docker to create an integrated platform that will work to allow government agencies to use cryptographically secured containers for data transfers, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The platform is based on Docker’s Commercially Supported Docker Engines program and Cloudera’s Navigator Encrypt system and will work to secure the code and data within the containerized workloads during transit, rest and runtime, Cloudera said Monday.

“Cloudera is committed to delivering the highest levels of data security for Docker workloads. We are pleased to have the opportunity to bring the industry leading security controls that are already a core part of Cloudera’s business to the realm of dockerized applications and supporting the U.S. Government with their most challenging problems, ” said Charles Zedlewski, senior vice president, Products at Cloudera.
