AM General to Supply Afghanistan With More Humvees for $109M

AM General has received a $108.8 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to deliver an additional 433 Humvees to Afghanistan under a foreign military sales deal.

The Defense Department said Tuesday it expects the company to finish work under the modification by Sept. 29, 2017.

DoD added the full obligated amount at the time of award is from the Army’s fiscal 2015 “other” procurement funds.

The service branch awarded AM General a separate $356.2 million modification in August to produce 1, 259 Humvees and 414 troop enclosures for the Afghan military.
