Paula Tolliver, a 20-year veteran of Dow Chemical, has joined Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) as corporate VP and CIO of the Santa Clara, California-based technology company.
She will report to Chief Financial Officer Stacy Smith and succeed Kim Stevenson, who has held the CIO role over the past five years, Intel said Monday.
Tolliver most recently served as corporate vice president of business services and CIO at Dow Chemical, where she led the company’s strategic sourcing, business process, operating discipline improvement, advanced analytics and digital initiatives.
“Paula brings both a depth and breadth of business, technology and strategic acumen that will be a tremendous asset to Intel, ” said Smith.
“We look forward to her leadership of Intel’s global [information technology] organization and her contribution to corporate-level strategic initiatives, ” Smith added.
Stevenson will transition to a new role as chief operating officer of Intel’s client and Internet of Things businesses and systems architecture group, the company noted.
She will report to Venkata Renduchintala, CISA group president and continue to serve on the company’s management committee.
