The U.S. Air Force has awarded a $325.8 million delivery order to Boeing (NYSE: BA) for 15, 000 Joint Direct Attack Munitions tail kits under Lot 20.
The Defense Departmentsaid Thursday the order builds on a previously awarded contract and will include technical and field support services through March 29, 2018.
Boeing’s defense, space and security arm has built more than 260, 000 JDAMs since 1998 and delivered the guidance kits across the Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and international allied forces.
The company manufactures the JDAM guidance kits and laser kits at its facility in St. Charles, Missouri.
