Donald Kosiak
Donald Kosiak, vice president for medical development and eCARE executive medical director for Avera Health, will join Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) as chief medical officer on Feb. 8.
Kosiak will oversee the company’s efforts to align its business strategy across the health solution group and the whole company, Leidos said Wednesday.
“Don is a perfect fit at Leidos, having medical, technical and military experience, ” said Jon Scholl, Leidos health and engineering sector president.
Kosiak will also work to help Leidos pursue new market and business development opportunities, form strategic business initiatives and develop new products.
He previously served as the regional medical information officer and chief of staff of the Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
He led various national and international projects conducted under NATO’s Science for Peace and Security program.
Kosiak is an emergency physician and state surgeon for the Army National Guard in South Dakota.
