Boeing-Lockheed JV’s Rocket Launches NRO National Security Payload


Launch of Atlas V MUOS-2,  July 19,  2013 from Cape Canaveral AFSTYSONS CORNER, VA, February 12, 2016 — A rocket built by the joint venture of Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) carried a national security payload to space as part of the NROL-45 mission, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

United Launch Alliance said Wednesday an Aerojet Rocketdyne (NYSE: AJRD) RS-68A engine and Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) GEM-60 solid rocket motors helped propel its Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle carrying the National Reconnaissance Office payload.
