General Dynamics Receives $80M AF Air Defense Comms Contract; Edward Hudson Comments


general dynamics logoGeneral Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has received a five-year, $80 million contract to maintain the U.S. Air Force’s air defense communications program.

General Dynamics Information Technology will work to manage and provide logistics support for the North American Aerospace Defense Command and Pacific Air Forces Air Defense’s communications systems, the company said Tuesday.

“General Dynamics will continue to assist the Air Force by maintaining its existing systems and integrating current and new technology solutions for the air defense network, ” said Edward Hudson, vice president and general manager of GDIT’s advanced technology solutions sector.

The company will perform work in Virginia, New York, Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida, Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska and Wheeler Army Air Field in Hawaii.
