Mary Ann Hopkins: Parsons Continues Outreach to Future Workforce With UMD Cyber Contest

TYSONS CORNER, VA, November 19,  2015 — Honors students from the University of Maryland have participated in a Parsons-hosted contest that aims to build up cybersecurity skills in the future workforce, GovCon Executive reported Nov. 12.

The company said Nov. 11 the Capture the Flag Cybersecurity Competition works to support the university’s Advanced Cybersecurity Experience for Students program.

“Our outreach to college and high school students provides a vital link between universities and the workplace, which is needed to ensure that students have the necessary skills to meet future demands, ” said Mary Ann Hopkins, Parsons group president.
