CGI FY 2015 Earnings Top Wall Street Estimates, 4Q Number Beats Forecast

CGI Group (NYSE: GIB) — one of 30 companies listed on Executive Mosaic’s GovCon Index — has reported earnings of $3.13 per share for the company’s 2015 fiscal year ended Sept. 30 to exceed the consensus Wall Street estimate by 2 cents and the prior year figure by 11.78 percent.

The Montreal-based technology services contractor posted fourth quarter earnings of 82 cents per share to top analysts’ forecasts by 2 cents and the prior year figure by 15.49 percent.

CGI also reported $753.22 million in full-year profit,  an 11.88-percent jump from 2014, and $7.76 billion in revenue for fiscal 2015 to show a 1.89-percent decline from 2014.

Revenue for the quarter increased 3.74 percent year-over-year to $1.95 billion and backlog as of Sept. 30 sat at $20.35 billion versus the $13.74 billion at the end of fiscal 2014.

Shares in CGI have gained 3.85 percent from the year’s start and are up 10.34 percent over 12 months.
