Amy Bleken, vice president of corporate development at Buchanan & Edwards, has been promoted to CEO at the Arlington, Virginia-based government technology advisory services company.
She assumed the CEO post Thursday and succeeds Brian Karlisch, who will transition into the role of board chairman, Buchanan & Edwards said.
Karlish said Bleken brings knowledge of the government contracting market as well as experience in strategic partnership development and business growth to her new position.
Before she joined Buchanan & Edwards, Bleken spent 15 years as a senior executive at CGI Group‘s (NYSE: GIB) U.S. federal market subsidiary and at Stanley Associates.
Buchanan & Edwards credits Bleken with efforts to grow the company into a mid-tier contractor.
