Hugh Evans: Veritas Capital Targets Mass Notification Tech Market with ECN Buy

wireless communicationsVeritas Capital has bought mass notification software-as-a-service company Emergency Communications Network from private equity firm The Riverside Co. for an undisclosed sum.

Hugh Evans, a managing partner at Veritas, said Friday the private equity investment firm aims to help ECN expand its presence in the government and adjacent markets.

ECN is led by David DiGiacomo and developed the CodeRed cloud-based software offering for organizations to collaborate and exchange critical data in the event of a critical situation.

Veritas Capital says ECN works with more than 2, 200 customers across the U.S. and Canadian healthcare, utility, technology, aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, financial services and government sectors.
