Germany to Discuss Missile Order with Lockheed-MBDA Team

MissileDefenseGermany could initially procure 8 to 10 Medium Extended Air Defense Systems from the team of Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and MBDA for the country’s missile defense system replacement initiative, Reuters reported Thursday.

Michelle Martin writes Thomas Homberg, managing director at MBDA, said that upcoming contract discussions would center on MEADS production quantity.

Homberg told Reuters that MBDA is also in talks with other possible European buyers of the weapon.

Airbus Group, BAE Systems and Finmeccanica own shares in MBDA.
