Dayton, Ohio-based joint venture NAVGeo LLC has won a five-year, $30 million contract to perform survey and mapping work for the U.S. Navy, the Dayton Business Journal reported Friday.
Joe Cogliano writes the joint venture of Magnolia River,  Photo Science and Woolpert will work to perform the on-demand services at several Navy and Marine Corps sites worldwide.
âItâs going to open a lot of doors that arenât open today, â Shane Imwalle, senior vice president at Woolpert, told the Journal.
âItâs very meaningful work in the near term … that should become a long-term relationship, â Imwalle said of the contract.
The Defense Department said in its Friday contracts digest that the Navy received nine proposals for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract.
